DNC for Nearshore Call Centers Dialing LATAM
DNC LATAM · Compliance guides
Nearshore call centers mix three geographies: where the agent sits, where the client is incorporated, and where the phone rings. Only the last one picks the Do Not Call registry. A floor in Medellín, Mexico City, or Buenos Aires that dials +1 still needs the US National DNC program. The same seats dialing +52, +54, or +57 need REPEP, No Llame, or RNE. Sitting in Latin America is not a credential.

The seating mistakes we see
| Assumption | Reality |
|---|---|
| "We are in Mexico, so REPEP is handled." | Someone still has to buy every zone and refresh every 15 days, or buy a check. Agents are not the portal. |
| "We are in Colombia, CRC is easy." | Easy compared with a CUIT. Still Spanish tokens and a web service if you have volume. |
| "Client brought DNC.com." | That file does not include the LATAM book on your other queue. |
| "One suppression list for the site." | Four destinations means four controls, including US. |
Run the floor as destinations
- Campaign objects require a destination country before they are dialable.
- US queues use the existing FTC vendor and TCPA records.
- Mexico queues use current REPEP. Argentina, current No Llame. Colombia, current RNE.
- Hours follow the number's time zone, not the break-room clock.
- Each campaign folder gets its screening record the day it is scrubbed.

When the site should buy
Buy when any client program on that floor is LATAM-destination, even if 80% of minutes are still +1. From $500/month per country at 10,000 checks. Independent SKUs. Immediate activation. Annual billing charges ten months for twelve. We hold official access so the site does not invent a shared portal login across brands. Foreign company access. Coming end of September: Spain, Australia, and Singapore remain coming, not live API, even if you already have EU or APAC clients.
Questions, answered
Does agent location decide the DNC list? +
No. The number being dialed does. A Mexico City seat placing US calls still needs the FTC National DNC Registry. A Dallas seat placing Mexico calls still needs REPEP. Nearshore adds mixed books on one floor, not a single registry.
How is this different from DNC for contact centers? +
Contact centers is the general floor path. This page is the nearshore seating model: agents in MX, CO, AR, or the US, clients in the US, destinations mixed.
Does a Mexican BPO automatically have REPEP? +
Not for every client campaign, and not for Argentina or Colombia. Local agents help with language. They do not replace CUIT, CRC, or complete zone coverage unless someone actually holds that access.
What should we run besides the scrub? +
Consent where you claim an override, destination calling hours, per-country disclosures, and a retrievable screening record. See the outbound checklist.
When should the nearshore site buy? +
When any program on the floor dials +52, +54, or +57. From $500/month per country at 10,000 checks. Keep the US vendor for +1.
