Argentina DNC Scrubbing for US Outbound Teams
DNC LATAM · Compliance guides
Argentina's official Do Not Call system was created by Law 26.951. Any company that advertises, offers, sells or gifts goods or services by phone to Argentine numbers must check the registry before calling. The rules cover messages and automated calls as well as live calls, including campaigns operated from outside Argentina.
How the registry works
- Consumers register mobile or fixed lines for free. Registration remains active until the consumer withdraws it.
- Companies doing telemarketing must become authorized registry users and download the current list before campaigns.
- Lists must be checked against current data, and each call to a registered number can be treated as a separate infringement.
Penalties under Law 26.951
Argentina investigates consumer complaints and can sanction violations per call, with escalating consequences for repeat offenders. Enforcement decisions involving banks, insurers and call centers are published regularly. As with Mexico, the exposure from one un-scrubbed campaign can dwarf the cost of compliance. See how a complaint actually becomes a sanction for what regulators check once one is filed.
The challenge for foreign companies
Company registration is a Spanish-language process designed around local tax credentials and a responsible representative. Foreign companies usually cannot complete it directly. We documented the operational steps in our guide to Argentina registry access. The practical alternative is using a provider that maintains the required local access and supplies current registry checks as a service.
Complying in practice
- Scrub every Argentine calling list against the current registry before dialing. See how DNC scrubbing works.
- Keep dated scrub records for every campaign.
- Honor individual opt-outs immediately, even for unregistered numbers.
DNC LATAM provides Argentina coverage through the same API used for the other live countries, with CSV in the panel if you are not wiring code yet. Independent monthly allowances and dated certificates. Each country has its own fixed price. Annual billing charges ten months for twelve months of service. Official government data, zero paperwork on your side.
The same API covers Mexico and Colombia. Change the country field when the campaign moves. Pricing stays an independent SKU per country. Spain, Australia, and Singapore are planned product coverage, end of September 2026. They are not at checkout today.
